As crazy as it sounds there are ways to market your music For $45.
I’ve tried all these methods when promoting my instrumental music as a producer.
The results were good but I wasn’t expecting much for $45.

The ways to promote your music for $45 are:
Muso soup
Submithub
Ads
Twitter Retweets
Repost exchange
Muso soup
Muso soup is a collection of radio stations, blogs, and influencers that share music.
For about $45 you can create a campaign. This allows you to get social shares, interviews, and other music exposure.
Be aware that the $45 will get you some free social shares but blog posts and other opportunities can cost more.
The results from using muso soup can be good or can be a miss.

The better your music the more shares you will get without spending more than $45.
Submithub
Most independent artists use Submithub for playlisting.
I am a firm believer that spending money on any streaming promotion is a waste.
The best use of submithub is for its blogs and influencers.
Blogs aren’t the powerful force they once were but some still get 100s of thousands of views every month.

If you can get on one of the big ones it can definitely help get you some new fans.
If those fans join your email list you can eventually sell them merch which would make you way more than $45.
Ads
If you search ads for promoting music you will get a lot of videos about directing people to Spotify.
This is never a good investment because you will never get enough streams to profit from what you invest.
If you are going to run ads for your music the best way is to direct people to join your email list.
Give them a free song or something exclusive in exchange for their email.

Once on your list you have endless opportunities to offer them merch, tickets to shows, etc.
The best ads I’ve used for this are Facebook lead ads.
If done right you can get email subscribers for less than $.90 per subscriber.
One of those subscribers could possibly spend hundreds with you over time.
Making your $45 investment a good one.
Twitter Retweets
Twitter has some of the best organic reach of any social platform.
This is great for your $45 budget.
There are a lot of large accounts in different music genres that will retweet your music.

You can possibly get your music to go viral just from one retweet.
To make the most of the retweet you want to use content that is already doing extremely well already.
Do not pay for a retweet on music or content that isn’t getting a decent amount of engagement already.
Twitter retweets can super charge the attention to a tweet but there has to be some momentum already.
Repost exchange
Repost exchange is the secret of SoundCloud artists.
For $45 you can buy credits to allow other SoundCloud users to repost your song.
To get the most for your money do some research on the profiles before offering your credits to them.
Check their recent reposts and make sure those songs are getting real engagement.
Look for accounts with a large amount of followers.
The larger the accounts the better your odds of getting comments, likes, and shares.
